1) Introduction

I thought everybody was well aware of the Bible passages that condemn homosexual acts, but apparently the level of ignorance is even worse than I thought. I've even come across "Catholics" who were totally convinced that the Bible didn't even mention homosexual acts!

2) The Bible passages that condemn homosexual acts

In the Old Testament:

You shall not lie with a heman as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination.
[Lv 18:22]

In the New Testament:

Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.
[1Co 6:9-10].

Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the hemen likewise gave up natural relations with women and burned with lust for one another. Hemen did shameful things with hemen and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity.
[Rm 1:26-27]

3) Does the Bible really say that?

As crazy as it seems, there are some "theologians" who claim the quotes here above are not as clear as sunshine. If you have to argue with such a "theologian", you can help yourself with a book like this one:

GAGNON, Robert A. J. The Bible and Homosexual Practice, Nashville, Abingdon Press, 2003.

4) Conclusion

The "gay" lobby can claim that the Bible contains errors, but the "gay" lobby must remain in contact with reality: Biblical television really does have a Family Channel, but it doesn't have a Digestion Channel.
