Dear Typing Octopus,

I'm really sorry to hear about the
fate of your cephalopod friend.

I hope you won't mind me asking such
a trivial question at such a painful
time in your lifecycle, but which software
did you use to make the "PAWS" poster?
Paint Shop Pro? Adobe Illustrator? I
say this because I'm still a prisoner
of Bill Gates and MS-Powerpoint, and
I want to escape to something more
monorailular.

Thank you,

Stefan

Hi,

I can't forward your message to the Typing Octopus. She doesn't have a
proper email account, being as she sneaks onto the ZPi system by
surreptitiously accessing Hominoidnet kiosks. She covers her tracks pretty
well since the Radical Sasquatch keeps threatening to eat her if he catches
her.

Anyway, I can tell you what she used to create the PAWS poster since the
kiosks only have the two graphics programs. The GIMP
was used for bitmap editing and Inkscape was used for
the text and compositing. Both are free and open source and are available on
Windows, if you must.

Regards,
Lyle
